Exploring London

Our advisors, Professors Mott & Hou, decided to introduce us to the city themselves, instructing us to be at St. Paul's Cathedral at 1:00 sharp. Naturally, we got completely lost, went the wrong way, refused to ask for directions, and showed up at 1:20. The day continued in this manner. So, rather than narrate our adventures yesterday, I'll post some pictures of our tour of London and add commentary.

St. Paul (McCartney)'s Cathedral, or, the really big building I had to walk out in the street like a moron to get a full photograph of.

The WWII firemen memorial. Took the picture for my father, Dept. Chief on the Woonsocket City Fire Department.

This guy has no head, but he had glasses. He just hung out there, headless, with corrective lenses. Let's take a moment to appreciate this predicament.

Moment's over, moving along.

FLAMING TUBA. AND THE FLAMES WERE SYNCHRONIZED WITH THE MUSIC. HOW DO YOU BEAT THIS?

That Ferris wheel from every British television show ever.

                                                                    It tells time, I guess.

This played Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" all the way down the road.
Let's recap: a fire engine that played Ring of Fire with big Fire Brigades Union lettering. I had to be restrained, I was so excited.
