This is the thought of a normal person when they go on a walk through Box Hill, a picturesque location of English countryside and a little piece of quiet living from a time long ago:
"My, this is beautiful. What a magical place, the air is so fresh, everything is so lovely."
Yawn.
Thusly, I present you a juxtaposition: Normal reactions, and the reactions of a nerd from an engineering school:
Normal Person: What a lovely town."Nerd: [Mental Process] "Box Hill... square hill...
square...mountain... mesa... Black Mesa... Half-Life... Video games."

Normal Person: "Oh, the cottage has a name!!"
Nerd: "Hah, Lovedon. Private. I BET IT'S PRIVATE, OHHHHHH! Anybody? High-Five? Come on, don't leave me hanging. ...Guys?"
Normal Person: "Look at that scenery. It's gorgeous! What a day!"
Nerd: "It's Hobbiton! The Shire!
'Mr. Gandalf, I wasn't spyin' I swear!'"
Normal Person: "Look at all these signs! Druid's Grove. Hey, let me Google this, it sounds important."
Nerd: "The road to Mordor is not to be traveled lightly."
Normal Person: "Look at this church & cemetery, I bet it has a lot of history."
Nerd: "...During the Zombie Apocalypse, you could probably barricade yourself in there with appropriate munitions and firepower. I'd say 2 weeks, maximum, before they overpower you."
Normal Person: "Nice little pub! Let's get a beer and rest a bit."
Nerd: "Pints? It comes in pints?!" - Lord of the Rings
Normal Person: "Quite a ways to go! Let's get to it!"
Nerd: "It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
